Airports
The San Francisco Bay Area is served by three airports: San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Oakland International Airport (OAK), and San Jose International Airport (SJC). The closest airport, SFO, is well-connected to downtown San Francisco by public transportation.
To reach downtown San Francisco from San Francisco International Airport (SFO):
- BART: We highly recommend you take the Bay Area Rapid Transit system from the airport. Trains are located in the international terminal. Take BART towards San Francisco for approximately 25 minutes to the New Montgomery Station. You will need to purchase a ticket ($5.15) before boarding. - Taxi: Taxis can be found outside the baggage claim areas of both the domestic and international terminals. The ride takes approximately 25 minutes and costs $35 - $45.
